Your gut is your gateway to vibrant, thriving health. Constipation, intestinal irritation, and systemic inflammation are at an all-time high, with stress, processed foods, medication, low hydration, sedentary lifestyles, and toxic exposure being just some of the culprits.

By introducing warm, purified water into the large intestine, we help gently unblock and remove what's stuck, assisting your cleansing and detox process. Improve your flow and refresh your health with colon hydrotherapy, a powerful modality for digestive healing.

Eat a light, clean diet with plenty of hydration, but avoid raw veggies and coffee as these can be gas producing and irritating. Also avoid sugar, wheat, alcohol, carbonated beverages, and red meat for at least the first 24 hours.

You might expect to be energized and euphoric or a little fatigued if a lot of toxins moved. You can return to your normally scheduled plans. Better yet if you can rest and enjoy.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

COLON HYDROTHERAPY

What is Colon Hydrotherapy?
Colon hydrotherapy is a safe, effective method of removing waste from the large intestine, without the use of drugs. By introducing filtered and temperature-regulated water into the colon, the waste is softened and loosened, resulting in evacuation through natural peristalsis. This process is repeated a few times during a session. Colon hydrotherapy is best used in combination with adequate nutrient and fluid intake as well as exercise. Sophisticated technology promotes both the safety and sanitation of this popular cleansing practice.

Why Should I Be Concerned About My Colon?
The colon has been referred to as the sewer system of the body. It is the place where we store the waste material that most of us would rather not think about and most of us don't until our health becomes poor or we feel constipated or have diarrhea. It best benefits the body due to the release of this accumulated congestion in the bowel.

How Many Colon Hydrotherapy Sessions Does One Need?
Of course, the number of colon hydrotherapy sessions desired will depend on the individual. Every person's goals will differ. Just as some people exercise on a daily or weekly basis to tone and tighten their outer body, some people follow an ongoing cleansing, toning, and rebuilding regimen for the inner body. Colon hydrotherapy could be used as part of any regular maintenance program.

What is a Colon Hydrotherapy Session Like?
A session is a comfortable experience for many people. It produces no toxicity. Techniques utilized allow a small amount of water to flow into the colon gently stimulating the colon's natural peristaltic action to release softened waste. The inflow of a small amount of water and the release of waste may be repeated several times. The removal of waste should encourage better colon function and elimination. During the session, most clothing can be kept on and you will be draped, or a gown might be worn to ensure modesty. Your dignity is always maintained. With Colon Hydrotherapy our therapist encourages your body to detoxify more fully by incorporating the techniques of massage, lymphatic drainage, meridian work, breathwork, and acupressure.

The top four benefits of this work are:

1. releases toxins  2. cleanses the blood 3. empowers the immune system, and 4. helps to restore the pH balance in the body.

Sanitation
Modern colon hydrotherapy equipment is manufactured through compliance with strict FDA guidelines that dictate rigorous accountability. The FDA-registered equipment features temperature-controlled water mixing and backflow prevention valves, pressure and temperature sensors, and a built-in chemical sanitizing unit and/or water purification unit. Disposable single-use rectal tubes, and/or speculae are highly recommended.

Historical View
Historians tell us that the practice of Colon Hydrotherapy or, in its most basic form, the enemas were first used by the Egyptians. The Ebers Papyrus, of the 14th century B.C., and the Edwin Smith Papyrus (c.1700 B.C.), both mention enemas and give directions for the use of the enema.

Colon Hydrotherapy was first used by the Egyptians - The Essene Gospel of the third century stated, "The uncleanness within is greater than the uncleanness without. And he who cleanses himself without, but within remains unclean, is like a tomb that outward is painted fair, but is within full of all manner of horrible uncleannesses and abominations."

The 17th Century became known as the "age of the enema", or the "age of clysters". It was an acceptable practice in Parisian society to enjoy as many as three or four enemas a day, the belief being that an internal washing or "lavement" was essential to well-being. By the late 19th Century and early 20th Century, with the advent of rubber, the enema or clyster slowly gave way to colon hydrotherapy equipment which improved the cleansing of the colon.

History of Colon Hydrotherapy - Dr. Kellogg reported in the 1917 Journal of American Medicine that in the treatment of gastrointestinal disease in over 40,000 cases, he had used surgery in only twenty cases. The rest were helped as a result of cleansing the bowels, diet, and exercise. Colon hydrotherapy eventually gained the attention of James A. Wiltsie, M.D., who contended that "our knowledge of the normal and abnormal physiology of the colon, and of its pathology and management, has not kept pace with that of many organs and systems of the body." He went on to say, "As long as we continue to assume that the colon will take care of itself, just that long will we remain in complete ignorance of perhaps the most important source of ill health in the whole body."

Colon Hydrotherapy

Hamilton Wellness Center is one of the best places that I've been to for what they do. Alice is a wonderful person she makes you feel very very comfortable during the session. I'm a return customer and I will continue to be as long as Alice is there.    ~Benson S.

To be honest, I was nervous to get my first colonic. But Alice has a very calming and friendly demeanor which put me at ease. She was very professional and made me feel completely comfortable. Nothing about the experience was as bad as I anticipated. Alice really cares about the health of her clients.    ~ Glen Y.

I’ve always believed in preventative healthcare and colon hydrotherapy is one method for completing this important lifelong goal. I could tell from the very first treatment experienced that I had made a good decision to come to see Rose. She is professional, caring, knowledgeable, and comforting. She has done everything in her practice to make the therapy something a client can look forward to. I found the service at Hamilton Wellness and with Rose my best experience since beginning such treatments a few years ago.     ~ Rosemary B.

Before going to HWC I was having issues with body odor and after only 1 session, I was able to go without deodorant for 2 entire months. My experiences haven't been as successful with other places, so I give HWC 5 stars and I plan to continue all my future cleansing at the Lafayette location. Thanks for being the best and offering this great beneficial service to the public.    ~Bunny R.

I had my first of several colonics at a wellness retreat. The day I left from that retreat, the whites of my eyes were as white as snow, the thoughts of my mind were so clear and focused, and my stomach along with my colon felt for the first time like a clean flowing vessel. IMMEDIATELY upon returning home, I looked to find a Clean, Professional, and Healing Space to maintain how wonderful I felt. And, gratefully so, still do feel! Thanks to Rose. Not only is she EXCELLENT at what she does but, Rose is so Intuitive, Spirited, Educated, and Loving. Understandably so, one may think having a colonic is too embarrassing or crude. Well, it is certainly not that with Rose. After each visit, I get to think once again with a clear mind and feel like a clean vessel. I have been in the Health & Beauty Industry for 20 years and I strongly believe "True Beauty Begins from within." Feel Good, Look Good.         ~ Nadine G.

Rose and Alice are very caring and compassionate and are truly in the business to help others. In addition to Rose's expertise in colon hydrotherapy, she has a wealth of knowledge and experience in getting one's body healthy. She has generously guided and mentored me. Beyond just expertly administering colon hydrotherapy, Rose and Alice have continually gone above and beyond in helping me.     ~ Linda W.
